Back home now and what a day!

Thanks to Hightower we had plenty of fish, lots of kit and a great rib to fish from. The Ray was the best fish of the day and my first Blonde Ray so I'm very happy. I lost count of how many we caught but it was quite a few, honest

Thanks again Andy

Fantastic pics ..my favourite time of day to be on the water ..... I find something very comforting about the glow of the instruments through twilight and you tend to have the sea to yourself.

and you caught some fish ! even better

Yeah, what a view and had the sea to ourselves too

Learnt absolutely loads from Hightower inc how to use the fishfinder for looking for the features of the seabed and also how to spot them for the different ripples on the surface.

We didn't catch any eaters so everything when back in

Thanks for dropping off the lobster pot Pete, looking forward to that

Fantastic day out, nice of Whisper to catch all the fish. Next time leave some for me please

We fished a bank close to Culver, it took some finding though as I'd only fished it on a Charter boat last year at night and was trying to find it from memory. We only successfully found it when the tide race picked up and we could identify it's location by the surface ripples. By we weren't a million miles away, so my memory can't be all that bad.

That little Blonde Ray was a tiddler by all accounts but well done to Alex for catching a new species, I was hoping we would catch Mum or Dad that would have given Alex a proper workout as they can reach over 30lb in weight.

We discovered that Pouting like hiding in elephant trunk holes and thanks for throwing that fish at me, my missus was well chuffed when I told her that the markings on my Joggers was Pout Poo

Had some engine probs See here just to take the edge off the day, but a good day had by all

Roll on the next trip.
