Keep me posted on dates. I have some diving mates always wanting boat space out of Pompey so I'll combine a bit of Nil vis diving with some fishing. Is the needles too far for you guys as its an easy stroll from Poole for me.

17:30 HT on Saturday is doable for me 13:00 kick off and back at darkness? Will be small tides so if you want to fish deeper, Bass won't be so plentiful but we could fish the Overfalls or go to Selsey for some Plaice or closer to home if you like. Smoothhounds off of Hill Head, or the New Grounds for whatever turns up. One place I'd like to try is Sandown Bay, I've wanted to fish over there all year but for one reason or other I haven't.
Mackerel for fresh bait on the way out.

I'd love to have blagged a seat and come as an observer to learn more, but am now doing family things Sat afternoon & eve and dont think my girls would enjoy it no matter how boaty they are...
Anyhow ..good luck ..Alex that pot ends about six today so if you 'win' let me know and I can get it. Am passing Southampton , Fareham & Portsmouth Sat afternoon and probably again on Sunday afternoon so easy to drop off somewhere handy.

I'm trying to install a replacement GPS because my Garmin 182c bust a couple of weeks ago. I lost all my favorite fishing marks from the waypoint list so will have to do a little bit of searching around for just the right spot when we get there. I'm on track (just), with hole cut in console awaiting the manufacture of a mounting adapter I'm making tomorrow (thanks Nugent). Will sikaflex it all in tomorrow subject to finding some 3mm studding and wiring on Friday afternoon.
Saturdays still OK with me, look forward to seeing you.
