I have volunteered as part of the rescue / tug / berthing group.

What's everyone else up to?

Never heard back from em so naff all. Doesn't seem very organised from where I'm sitting!

I hear the Event is shaping up nicely - around 250 boats taking part with a lot more wishing to take part.

The RYA Scotland are doing great job, managing the event with partners to ensure the event will run smoothly.

So I don't know how you think not well organised...

I have volunteered - I have offered to fit in where needed - hence my comment I do what I am told ...I might be biased since i am on two RYAS committees , including being chair of powerboat committee, although not involved directly with this event!

Chris
Did you volunteer to help or just sign up to the cruise?

I am aware of a couple of Foorth & Clyde canal based charities not taking a boat as they can't justify the costs, but other than that it seems organised from where I'm sat.....

i have signed up and paid (apart from being expensive for a rib) every thing seems to be organised ok but may well be chaos on the day with 250 boats
