I know it's possible...

So why's there never anything for smaller boats?

There are a few 4/5m owners on here i'm sure, do you go out on big cruises?

I feel held back by my lack of navigational technology and speed, and suprisingly I wouldn't feel safe taking my 4m across the English channel, however, I wouldn't mind meeting some new people and exploring some new water!

Any advice/like minded people?

Thanks

Ignore the fact that Nos is arrangging it for seariders, and consider joining the searider jaunt, I probably won't be in my SR (sorry Nos) due to logistical problems.

There has been a distinct lack of cruises this year, publicised on the board anyway, probably due to the bad weather!

Lawrence, normally during the summer we would have lots of different events from BBQs at Priory Bay to trips to Yarmouth and the Folly etc. However the weather has been dreadful this year which has dampened spirits a little. Its been the same for the divers, indeed the club has just put on a trip to the Red Sea because its been so bad in the UK this year.

We had a discussion at the Churchillian last night about it and a several folk hope to join in on the searider trip. Other ideas are the annual Xmas trip to the Folly. Hopefully next year things will pick up. Now about that cross channel trip in a 4m rib hmm there is an idea

Pete

I think we may be suffering a severe lack of K&P as well. No-one's really tried organising anything much round the Solent since they disappeared.

Still, more the merrier on the Searider trip

I'm praying for a weather window for everyone this weekend, we all deserve a break.
