or other interested party.
I'll be launching at exmouth and have room on the rib for anybody wa\nting to make the trip.
You can join me at exmouth or hop on at torquay/brixham where I shall hook up with Brian and Manos for the trip down to plymouth.

Brian (and everyone else),
Following your suggestion about joining the convy heading towards plymouth i have done some real number crunching and have decided i will be towing towards the west country.
Reasons, as ever, are human endurance, fuel bill, and time required. The time factor is of more relevance given the earlier discussion about heading off towards ireland the week after (is that still the idea Brian, and is your offer still valid?)
I am, however, very interested in launching @ exmouth or torquay and joining the cruise round - my main concern would be secure parking for car and trailer close to either? Any suggestions (ie local knowledge etc.)
Regards
Daniel

Daniel and others.
I will send you an e-mail off this forum.
Whilst still on it , however, just a quick reply to Alan Priddy......
I am sure I speak for the others when I say that a slide presentation/whatever from yourself/crew of Spirit of Cardiff would be the highlight of the weekend for all of us.
I am saying this because I think Charles The Organiser is away skiing or something at the moment, else he would have thanked you himself and started to make the necessary arrangements.

Firstly - thanks for reminding me Brian, forgot to say to Alan what a damn good idea that'll be, and that the rest of us may have to club together and buy you boys beer in return (although having read the book, can we afford that much beer?)
Secondly, following a bit of re thinking my new plan is to tow straight to Mayflower, either leaving early Sat am, hence arriving just before lunch, or if work commitments allow, friday evening, and then maybe heading west to meet the flotila coming east with Brian, Keith and gang.
Anyone else fancy the latter idea?
Happy New Year in advance!
Daniel

Daniel, I think you mean heading east to meet the flotilla coming west. No sweat. If you go the other way you'll meet Diana and me heading towards Mayflower from Falmouth instead!
Cheers...

I will be towing Blue Ice down and launching at Mayflower (assuming I bring her.) So perhaps a convoy down the M4 is a possibility!!

Sure is Alan, we'll discuss some arrangments nearer the time. I might stay with a friend in Hayes (nr Heathrow) so maybe breckfast in Reading services is in order?
Daniel
PS: What do you tow with?

I'm in Iver, about 3 or 4 miles from Hayes and Heathrow...... This could be a big convoy as I am also hoping to come!
Just thought I'd mention it!

Hi All
Back from my travels on Ze Conteenant!
Alan, brilliant idea....I think everyone will certainly appreciate a slide-show immensely. Will the other crew members be able to make it as well? I will liase with you and certain other people via e-mail with regards to the logistics.
Name tags - I am not a big fan of these but obviously see the merits in it. What does everyone else think? If this idea is carried can someone please PM or e-mail me their willingness to purchase the necessary tags and I will furnish all the names to be printed for said tags. I doubt whether anyone will have have a problem paying for these?
If I may ask everyone please to e-mail me at stclair@jerseymail.co.uk to confirm their attendance please? Further details will be posted on this thread as we draw closer to the week-end - should be a blast

Hi fellas,
I've been following this thread for several weeks now and am planning to come but will have to confirm nearer the time (work!!). If I can make it I'll be coming down from the Midlands, probably overnighting on Friday at the "outlaws" in Tiverton, just off the M5. Charles, I'll confirm via e-mail ASAP.
Dave

And getting bigger by the minute - I'll be towing my SIB (solid floor jobbie that lives on a trailer) down the M4 from Reading...

Well, I would offer bacon butties at my house, but you might have difficulty reversing the trailers out again afterwards (uh-oh, wait for Keith to home in on the mention of bacon butties!)
