IOM TT, again
Anybody going?
We are going to drive down to Isle of Whithorn with the tent and camp if the weather seems reasonable and go across if possible.
Anybody else thinking about it this year, the law of averages means you have to get across and actually see a race now and again............

Checked with my insurers and was told Northern Ireland was included in 'Coastal waters of British Isle'. No additional cost. Don't know about Isle of Man

Mine was the same, but you can't cross, as you leave coastal water. I rang up and asked to go to Ireland or IOM and they said fine, just let us know. Basically a few one off trips are fine, but not weekly offshore fishing/diving or inter country drug running/potato smuggling!

First weekend in June, another go is in the offing but this time we aren't booking anything and just taking the tent to stay at whithorn.
This will be the fourth year in a row we have tried to get across, the one year we actually got all the way there they cancelled the racing because of fog on the mountain!
We have to, by the law of averages, one day actually get across and be able to see a race. maybe this year!

Agreed, I like your attitude. Will keep an eye on this with an aim to come. Also trying to swing a pass from family for the Ireland trip.

Hi All,
Brian and I are still here on Fraggle Rock and await your plans. I have applied for good weather and motorcycle racing for your visit this year !!

My wife is convinced I was trying to kill her, she still hasn't forgiven me for taking her out in a F7 past Puffin Island with the waves higher than the length of the boat...........
We did have a nice run right round Anglesey later in the week though.....

we nearly made it to puffin island last saturday, but my wife gave me that stare due to the "swell", so we turned back, sat in the sun by gallows point and had lunch instead

well, we were on holiday together, so maybe retreat was a better idea on the day but will keep advice in mind for 28th and as for any trips to IOM, wouldn't even suggest it
