IOW festival - Saturday 9 June 2007

We plan on cruising up the Medina on the Saturday to see what we can hear. The lineup looks excellent-Muse, Kasabian,Ash,Wolfmother,Amy Winehouse and Donovan.

Anyone else up for it?

Sounds like the tide timings will be ideal for the best music then

when is the tide? I've never been up that far, will it be accessible at all states of tide? Not got a ticket this year, none of the bands really floated my boat, but may be up for taking the rib up.

If the HW is 6pm as Watersideman said and it's accessable there for 2 hours either side of high tide as posted in the previous year thread hopefully we'll catch either Donovan, Amy Winehouse,Wolfmother and/or Ash if we're lucky?

Depends on how you define excellent!

Glad I'm on the mainland away from all that din.

What ever happened to Boney M, The Nolans, Middle of the Road, Black Lace, Buck Fizz, Rene and Renata, Joe Dolce?

All of you who are planning going to this event, high water is early evening and therefore you will have to be out of area by the latest 8pm as their will be little water.

I'd be doing Sunday too if I didn't have to work Monday but I still think the lineup Saturday is better
Apart from the Stones that is.

Well, this is drawing ever closer. Who's going? I will be there, probably with laser (Rich) and a merry band of other degenerates. Looking forward to it!

We'll be there Saturday. Is it possible to fire up a BBQ on the bank there below HW line?

I'll hazard a guess and say either 9 or 10pm-the main stage is finishing at 11pm.

Very stoney and muddy with an edge like a canal bank. Bouncers and fencing separated the great unwashed from those with tickets in the festival.

We are planning to go on Sunday.

From my tide tables, it looks as if we are OK until 11.00 when it finishes.

The tide height is 2.7m at 11.00 so we have over one metre of water.

Can someone do a sanity check on that calculation for me?
