Thanks to all for the suggestions and the "Cead Mile Failte" looking forward to meeting up.

I like the suggestion of spending the Friday night at Port Askaig and meeting up with the others Saturday and travelling back to Easdale for "The Festivities", But having said that I will fall in with whatever the majority decision is.

As far as towing into Cushendall, last time I was there I remember coming into the Village near the hotel having come down a hill which would be an interesting road with the boat behind, is the better route Belfast, Larne, and the coast road to Cushendall as Wilk has said.

Has anyone any advice on the road from Larne to Cushendall looks to be approx 50kms. I assume the road from Belfast to Larne should be ok with all the traffic for ferries etc.

The coast road from Larne is flat and only a little further. Quite twisty but good surface. The Glens road is a steep descent the last four miles. Would advise coast road with your rig.

OK lads, nine weeks to go...

Still no concrete plan but I'm watching this space with interest. By the numbers:

donegaldan - Deep Six squared up and ready to go?

Portnahaven - care to check the tides for the Late Friday/Early Saturday thing? You're the wind over tide expert here!

My first "Want" is a weather window in and out of the Inner Hebridies.

Second "Want" is a sensible and economic routing that takes in the sights, whisky and you guys.

My guess is that if the WX is looking good, we assemble at some point on Friday and either depart Cushendall forthwith or hold off until early Saturday, depending. Time will tell.

Nice one tonymac.

Remember that Deep Six is 6.1m, Jumping Jack is 6.5m, Ricochet and Portnahaven are 7.1m. I think Keamore is about 13.7m...

So while Cáit is at the shorter end of the scale, she's hardly dwarfed either.

I've promised donegaldan if he brings Deep Six and meself, he can be Admiral for the day
