In Any of the weather I have experienced in the UK, I would have loved to go play in the Parker.
There is NO way I would want to be out in anything on the water in this hurricane!
Have already seen a partial crane collapse on the 57th floor of a high rise building. Trees down in Central Park and a 14ft storm surge due in the next few hours could put significant areas under water, including two of the major airports

Extras noted.

I will be calling the Folly tomorrow to open 'negotiations'.

Options may be ;

- Pick from a set xmas menu - each phone to pay deposit & try and unravel it on the day - if this is the case I will need to know orders and exact numbers and that you have paid ( and how much ) to the Folly . I'll end up in 'proper' management mode - so buggering about last minute wont be tolerated etc etc etc

- Agree to stick the Turkey & pick of the 'normal' menu on the day etc etc - no hassle for me - everyone sorts themselves out .

Of course the weather could be dismal - so if this would put you off going ( either by boat , ferry , car, taxi etc - best back out now ?)

As always I've unleashed a monster - but I'm happy to get a hold of it .....

Thoughts / comments, feelings welcome - but in true RIBnet style dont expact them to be listened to

I would be happy to choose from the normal menu. That would be easier for everyone and help avoid the Xmas fare overload to follow.

I may have a couple of + 1s (yes, may not be travelling solo) will let you know ASAP.

Been speaking with the Folly . They would prefer if we ordered form the xmas menu ( attached & link to earlier in the thread) as it allows them to plan better and deliver a better service on the day. We shoudl be aiming to be sat down at 12.30 ( ish) - and of course it gets dark early so if going by boat expect to get back in the dark if your going far - staying longer !

I think rough numbers are 34 ish .

I will be paying a deposit to the Folly myself tomorrow to secure this for all .....so if anyone is half commited /unsure please let me know urgently. This will mean people will just need to pay thier own bill in full on the day ( hopefully)

I would ask/ beg that everyone have a look and PM/ phone / email me choices ASAP - by THURSDAY 8th November LATEST . I'll be running a spreadsheet to keep track which I'll send round to make sure its all 100% clear and chasing for choices .

Sorry for the 'planning' - can anyone tell I used to project manage ?

Good Stuff - once the number of boats is more of a known I'll see if I can arrange sensible mooring costs...( worth a try...) If I can get my SR sorted ( if I dont Mr H will lynch me ! ) I may take it from Calshott.

I'll be there but I'm not eating much in the way of solid food. Can't eat meat other than sausage. I'll take my chances on getting something there or maybe later. I'll come over with Fiona but don't include me in the Xmas menu as it will be a waste

Bit slow on food choices from people....... I have 2 out of everyone
