Not worried about the Sunday....BUT Got a Days Fishing booked with a ''Very Highley regarded Local Guide'' for the Monday

From the way the synoptic chart is developing for the rest of the week, I don't think that that forecast is going to be far off ..... but it's only Force 5 gusting Force 7 from the North West! The cliffs should give some shelter for an inshore passage from Poole across to the Solent and there's very little rain in the forecast ....

Subject to the weather being no worse than currently predicted, we're planning on launching around 10.00am so should be at Poole Harbour entrance by 10.20am. Who else is planning on coming from Poole?

Reckoning on a strong breeze from the west. We are leaving port Solent at 1000hrs anyone wishing to meet up let us know. Lets hope for sunshine and waves.

10:00 was my plan giving a reasonable time to get to the RV at 11:30. Should be an impressive sight, 30 plus ribs crossing the Solent and going up the Medina. Not too keen on the F7 gusts, but will wait a bit to see how it develops.

We're Launching from Hythe,and meeting up with Whisper... Hopefully early enough to head down and meet mid Solent for the run up

Yes am planning - but looks like there may be a problem launching as the yard here is a bit crowded & not fully functional - with all the work thats going on with the marina extension - So might be looking to cadge a lift if either you or Simon have room??

No problem: if you need a lift, let me know and we'll liaise about a RV. I may well be on my own anyway, since Mrs A won't want to come with her bad back if it's rough and she's also currently suffering from a bad cold/flu which seems to be hanging around.

Well the Forecast for Sunday I'm looking at is now very gentle northerly ......

Ideal (apart from for Mr 'wave jump' H...but I'm sure he will manage )

I still think I may be jumping on a big black Parker sunday morning .

My current plan is to try to herd the family out of the house in time to get to Southampton Dry Stack about 9.00, pick up some fuel at Hamble then go for a blast up to the Needles, turning back around 11.00 in time to RV at South Bramble buoy at 11.30.

Anyone else up for a bit of a run out before the mass rendezvous? Paul H? ianhappy?

I'll be keeping a close eye on the weather and making the call at the last minute. If I go it will be with family, from the Hamble dry stack too.

We'll be leaving Southampton Dry Stack at about 10.30 - just me and Rick on Blue Ray, so spare places available if anyone in a smaller boat wants to wimp out and cadge a lift.

You would also be welcome to come with me, however for once I will not be running solo as both sons plus a family friend are planning to come as well, so if David is running solo you may be better off on the "Grim".
