That would be great 👍 and I probably won't fancy it if the weather is terrible!
Let me know what you'd want in return (beer or fuel money etc, by PM if you want). I'm based in Plymouth so can give you a hand launching etc if you need it.

2023 will see the 11th Annual Pasty Run again extended to 3 days with an outline plan of;
Saturday 6th May – 07.02 HW - 11.00 departure
A coastal cruise of 20 miles from Plymouth to Salcombe on a brownie hunt, the best brownie in the South West is to be found in the bakery, along with a superb Devon style pasty. The outward leg will see a coast hugging trip East from Plymouth, to the River Lyner, Burgh Island and Hope Cove before finding Salcombe. After a beverage break we’ll head back West to find Plymouth Yacht Haven for a well earned cup of tea.
However the fun doesn’t stop there. For those that fancy it, at 17.30 we’ll again depart the Breakwater Fort for a trip North, up the River Tamar to Calstock.
First we'll take a run over to the river Plym, just touching the mouth before taking in the sights of Plymouth Hoe and Smeatens Tower.
From there we'll follow the Tamar past Forder Bridge. Before heading past Babis Rd bridge, Royal Albert railway Bridge (one of Brunel's finest) and the Tamar road bridge followed by the Tamerton and Tavy bridges before pushing on up river we head towards Cotehele House and gardens, there are areas of open speed and restricted speed mooring areas. The wildlife on this section is usually superb and cameras are well recommended.
A leg stretch at Cotehele (if its open) is an option before we head up to the last bridge on this trip - Calstock viaduct. It's huge, it's stone, and it's lovely.
A short hop and we'll be at the final stop on this trip, Calstock. The pub will be open for snacks, a pint, coffee or large gin before we return to the open sea at the height of the tide.
Those launching at Saltash will drop away as the flotilla goes past the slipway and those staying overnight to see what Sunday brings motor onto their overnight beds or slipways.
Sunday 7th May – 07.41 HW 10.30 departure
Plymouth to Mevagissey, via the Eddystone lighthouse and returning via Fowey.
An open sea passage of around 30 NM for the outbound leg. Once at Mev we’ll stop long enough for tea and cakes before heading over to Fowey (6nm) where the first of the SWs Cornish pasties can be enjoyed.
The return trip of around 18nm will see the fleet pass Looe, Downderry and a number of other coastline villages and areas as we hug the coast before arriving back into Plymouth late afternoon.
Sunday 5th June – 08.20 HW 10.30 departure
A longer trip for those that would like to cruise a bit farther. Plymouth to Dartmouth where we will partake it what is the best for crab sandwich ever.
The day will also be used as the back up for the Fri /Sat if the weather misbehaves.
All trips departure from the Breakwater Fort.

Hi I'm hoping to join for the run on Sunday. I'll be starting out from Salcombe to meet you all in Plymouth in time for the 10.30 departure.
Is anyone else heading from Salcombe on Sunday?
Cheers
Jim

I've been keeping an eye on the Sunday as that's the day I'm hoping to join and it looks like the best of the three days currently. I'll still be coming if others are.
Would appreciate any company heading from Salcombe to Plymouth on the Sunday morning!

Hello
Sunday is looking ideal for a run down to us to start with. I'm not aware of any boats starting from there at present, but hopeful some one will shout if they are.

I'm hopefully arriving this evening with Black Adder, and plan on launching at high tide at QAB (as long as I don't need to remortgage the boat to pay for their slip fees), so will hopefully still be fast asleep on board whilst you are all launching tomorrow morning..... plan B is I'll sleep in the boat at the side of the road and be launching at Mountbatten slip in the morning!

According to their web site, over 7.4m is £47.50, but does include parking!
I'll be launching at Saltash slip (free) and there are the ones at Mayflower, Oreston and Mountbatten that are also free.

For £50 I might just pony up too.
Let me know how you get on Trevor.

Sat in qab bistro with a pot of tea watching the fog. I suspect we'll go, just not at 11.

Leaving qab at 2, heading out and about for a look before the fog comes back.
Abandoning Salcombe and Calstock for today.
Booked the Greek restaurant on the barbican stavros, for 8pm.

Can’t help with the trip down as I’m already here, but I’ll be heading back to Brixham late afternoon/early evening tomorrow if you want company on the return trip.

Thanks Andy for suggesting the dates and location for this years run. As always great fun with good company. Shame about the weather on Saturday and tomorrows forecast. But today made the trip a success.

Thanks for having me on your boat Trevor, it was nice to meet the few of you that came to breakfast and stuck around throughout the whole day. I have 180GB of video to go through and it's going to take a while, but I do hope to put something together. It was my first time using the gimbal in the wild and I think the shock of bouncing off waves at 25 knots was a bit too much for it, but there are some nice shots.
