Knott End / Fleetwood cruise 27th August

We are planning a cruise from knott End on Sunday 27th of August, which is a bank holiday weekend. The route is as follows, out to the wind farm and then to Peil Island. If the weathers good we will probably go further up the coast also.

High tide is at 02:09PM, however we are intending to set off at about 11:00-12:00, giving everyone plenty of time to get there and launch without having to get up to early. If your in the marina (as we are) lock out is at 11:00AM and lock in at 05:00PM which is lots of time for an extension to the original route should you want to go further. Across to piel island is not too far and doesn’t take long to get there in good weather, so smaller boats can come along.

We may pop over if weather is good and we are around home area. but we make a point of avoiding bank holiday courses as the estuary and the slipway will be overpopulated (but not with brain cells!) .
Remember that with the departure of Rod and family the pub on Piel is shut (no pie and peas - bugger!) while they look for a new landlord and attempt to bring the building up to early 19th century standards

Hi Mike
I'm jealous, we were over there earlier this year so that Nicole and Simon could take charge off and then deliver to Holland a 50ft power catamaran. I was going to say if you need a cabin boy give me a ring - but then i remembered Pugwash and Roger the cabin boy so thought better of it. If you need a crew any time give me a shout !!!
