The whole catastrophe seems up for coming up from Anglesey via Cheshire! We'll probably make a long weekend of it Thursday through to Monday.
I've had a hunt around rib.net for some details on last year, are there any anywhere?
I'll be able to commit or not after the weekend.

No Idea of the Route, but in round numbers:
Largs- Portavadie in a "straight" line via between Big & Little Cumbrae, Round the bottom of Bute & straight up loch Fyne - 23-ish NM,
Via the Kyles - Call it 30 odd NM.
Largs- Inverary 50 NM
Largs - Campbeltown Via either side of Arran- 40 NM give or take.
All very round numbers. I'll hand you back to Scott for the details.....

no idea - what they have planned apart it will be treasure hunt too! So should be interesting I posted the last report ^ in bad weather.
If any body is coming by sea I will see what I can arrange at Largs & if coming by road will see what I can do.
DDZmarine are one of the organisers / driving force behind this , along with David Hill.
My part is to stimulate interest! email me scott@sprmarine.co.uk with questions etc and I will pass on to them to talk to you direct.
if you your smart you get my phone number from that address call me.
You will all be made welcome . Macattack was on last cruise.
regards
Scott

Can't be there this time as I will be cruising out of arisaig for 2 weeks from the last week in July. It can't come soon enough.
I hope you get better weather this time. It is a great idea to stay at portavadie as its a nice place with the spa and fine dining.

We are in Accommodation booked at the Marina.
Will be towing through from Port Edgar on the Saturday morning - going to be an early one me thinks... What do you think - about 1.5 hours to do that trip?

Yes 90 mins will be about right and easy road apart from a few narrow sections due to parked cars V oncoming cars in kilbirnie on the A760 but easy enough.
You will find launching at Largs complete bliss compared to port Edgar.

Thanks MacAttack - so you reckon Glasgow-Kilbirnie-Largs? I thought would be best to take the coast road - A8/78 - but to be honest, don't know the area at all...

Yes that route is much faster. You basically come off the M8 at the airport and its well signposted. I normally launched from inverkip and went via the coast road through Greenock but I'm now going to Largs as it is far better and the journey is much shorter. Coming back the last time took me 55 mins to my driveway in Livingston. Oh also I use the new M74 extension rather than M8 through glasgow for a quicker and stress free drive.

It's just been announced that inverkip chimney will come down on the 28th so you might have the chance of watching that on your trip.
