Its worth slowing down round the red can at Ardlamont point and letting the resident dolphin come over to play.He or she can put on a bit of a show if in the mood!! Never strays more than 20-30 metres from the red marker so you have to be close.

We were lucky enough to get the 5pm dolphin show.
This one definitely isn't shy and was happy to swim a foot away from the boat so be careful!

Thought we were the only ones. We were with the dolphin around 11.15. Nobody in sight and no one made themselves. known at Portavadie. Just having a wonderful breakfast then off exploring in the rain.

It is mega crap down in gourock too.
Would love to go out but hardy I am, but without a cabin it is stupid :-)
Hope it is better tonight for the chimney.
I'm off to kip to pump the boat out.
Cheers

Been to Rothesay today after spending 1 hour with dolphin then up the Clyde to Holy Loch and Greenock. Rained for a while but brightened up later.
Overall a super weekend with wildlife everywhere, you don't know what you all missed.
Recommend Portavadie marina for friendly service and good value accommodation.
Same again next year.
