Launching In Falmouth

Have been invited to a wedding in Sennen at the end of August but are planning on coming down to Cornwall a couple of days before and I have managed to borrow the RIB I used to own a share in to borrow if I have not bought a new one by then! (wanted Ribcraft 5.3 )

Planning on spending a couple of days in Falmouth - where would be the best place to launch from? Last year went in at St Mawes as we had a cottage on that side but St Mawes is a nightmare for getting into with the trailer etc.

I was thinking about Flushing slipway or Mylor?

Also has anybody launched at Sennen cove? We are booked into the pub there for a couple of nights at the end of the bank holiday week and I fancy have a potter around that piece of coast line as well. Cheers for any info you Kernow Ribbers have from a Cymru Ribber

Diolch - Thanks

Gareth

Mylor Harbour or Falmouth Dinghy Park, take your pick. Nothing in Flushing.

Sennen cove normally has fishing boats on the slip with a bit of car I’m sure you can weave your way around em.

Go for the public slip in Mylor mate. Chuck a left into the gravel carpark at the bottom of the hill as you enter the harbour. Pontoon now in place running length of slip to help you out.

Either, Mylor or Falmouth. You'll need to phone in advance. Mylor Yacht Harbour for Mylor, Port Pendennis Marina or Fal Harbour Commisioners for the Yacht Haven Pontoon in Falmouth. Which, depends on where your staying.

Mine's a pint of 'Summerblonde', Cheers.

RIBase
Mylor

Used Mylor marina last year when I went to the Scillies.

They sorted out space fot the car and trailer and an overnight berth. I went to see them about a month before my trip and they indicated that they didnt need booking.

Give them a call - very helpful
