Don't know as this will depend on fellow members. I guess we will
A pity you cannot make it this year cos we are down on numbers with Kathleen's leg in a plaster and Louise having to look after little Thomas. I suppose Richard at the last minute will find some good excuse to launch Blue Ice

Saturday Night at the Arun View is party night

this weekend I must advise the Arun View of the menu selection and will make enquiries about the kids menu

Not in a plaster sir !!!

Because I continued to ski (and went to work for a week before I knew I had a fracture) the doc said no point!

Besides they need to keep all that plaster (& oxygen tents & helicopters etc. etc.) for you guys when you stub your toes

All should be mended by June 1st!!! But too late for Lil'hampton, sorry Andre. You peeps are so welcoming, it's a pity to miss this one. See ye next year!

Thanks Andre.

We'll be thinking of you all weekend 28th and especially the disco mad octogenarian who was star of the dance floor last year!!!

K

(Actually I hardly felt I missed anything at RIBex as so many peeps got in touch.
And our Breton visitors were delighted with your courtesy & demo, also Robin's Ocean Blue demo (top job apparently!), Leeway and John Cookster Cookee who was his usual charming self. )

Leaving the Solent East to the Edge of the World

To all leaving the Solent to points East to the Owers around which Dragons lie

I suggest we aim to rv and thus collect people as we move East at suitable points. I am actually away from now until the Friday before so it is kind of hard for me to do the arranging so I am passing the baton on to Paul (Timboli). I guess we need to allow 90 minutes from the big fort to get to Littlehampton (Andre - do you agree?).

So my suggestion is:

Lymington (Jack in the Basket) 10.30am
Calshot (by the last red buoy at the mouth of the river) 11am
Big Fort 11.30am

Please can you send by PM to Timboli all your MMSI's, and your mobile numbers.

I will want to know who is meeting where. I am happy to 'lead' the flotilla in Farfetched, and for Paul to appoint a sweep boat ensure that anyone with problems / concerns is looked after.

I suggest we use channel 77.

I suggest everyone makes a point of talking to Paul by phone on the Friday evening beforehand to check for last minute changes of plan.

Looking forward to the adventure. It was kind of blustery and cold last year so please come prepared for bad weather!

Cheers

Bruce

Bruce
Many thanks for taking the initiative

pending weather conditions 90 min is more then enough. On calm sea my Seahawk 3 can make Cowes in 1 hour and a bit .

If the weather is fine I suggest you aim for the Looe Channel. We will meet you there and lead you to LA

Bruce if all goes to your plan then I guess you could make the Looe Channel by 12 noon

The Looe Channel can get rather nasty at times and if this is the case and we will be there first and if necessary lead you via the Outter Owers

Pls call me on my mobile when you meet at the Fort

Have a good and exciting crossing

Andre
