Oops sorry, didn't read through 7 pages. We are going to arrive dead early if we leave at 9.30 am, still we could make sand castles on the bar (sand bar Richard not that sort)
Missus / Paul, Old Spice still is in the water, and nearly underwater last night when I took the water intake apart and Stu got in the boat (long story but we now have 4 new fuel injection lines).

Yep, just need to find the chap who caused it and explain the facts of life to him! and that it took 8 months to get his insurance to pay for it Name and shame ? okay its SAGA!
Stu broke a injector line Tuesday but can't really blame him for that one as they are probably 23 years old, just wish he had broken one of the cheap ones and not the expensive one.

Stuart shouldn't be messing around with 23 year-olds at his (tender) age!
Has anyone invited him?

Suggested Randevous
Hi All,
As everybody is travelling from the Solent Area may I suggest that we all meet at the Langstone Fairway Mark; 1 Mile due of South Langstone Harbour between 09:00 & 09:30.
Pete we need to allow for stragler's and late commers.
Comms will be on Channell 71. It Should be a good run and I am sorting out a route and waypoints will be available vie "E" Mail should you want to follow; thanks Ribald.
See you Sunday

As Ray is based at Bembridge, we may need to wait a little longer as he may not be able to get out until after 10am. If this is the case we can hang on for Ray and possibly meet you at Outer Owers.
Ray - have PM'd you...

Count us in we are based in Shamrock Quay at the top of Southampton Water. I suspect that we will need to refuel at Portsmouth before we leave, just to be on the safe side.
We could meet up with the Jackeens and follow them.

Kevin, publishing the way points would be good, because I don't have a chart for anything East of Selsey. I think thats the edge of the world isn't it? so worried about falling off.
The main one we need is a safe mark for Littlehampton Harbour once we are through Selsey Bill. If anyone hasn't been around Selsey before please don't cut the corner, that seagull standing up 3 miles off shore is stood up for a good reason, its that shallow, suggest we stick to the channel through the Mixon Hole.

Andre,
Some of the boats seem to want to take a short cut (a more scenic route, perhaps?) but that way the 'Littlehampton Wecoming Party' don't get much of a run out in their boats so I was thinking that as there are 7 or 8 boats coming from the Solent, we could split into two parties - an inshore (for those who want to or are a bit slower and/or smaller) and an offshore. What do people think? Is this getting too complicated now?? We really don't mind!
P.S. Really looking forward to it and the weather's looking great, according to the BBC website!

Like being near the coast personally and have a personal preference for boats sticking together .. there will be a few 'Zeb' class along so we should be Ok...
And the welcome party could come to meet us anywhere along the route???

Good idea but we will still keep in radio contact
Once you pass Selsy Bill and get into the unknown there are two land marks you just cannot miss to notice
1 - Butlins at Bognar - looks like a set of white canopy tents , watch out for the lobster pods there are many
2 - the very large light green gas tank at Littlehampton , on a good day you don't need a GPS just head for the tank and when you get closer you will see the entrance to the east of it
carefull when entering Littlehampton, it is a working port you may encounter the gravel ship at high tide.
Stick to the main channel when entering the harbour don't venture to starboard beyond the posts which are marking the entrance route cos you may loose your prop or ever worse the leg
no speeding mind you, a 6 knots speed limit applies in the port and we do not want to up set Mr Harbourmaster
Andre
PS our digi camera had to be sent away for some repair so I am counting on somebody else to take upon the role of the official photographer

Can we join you?
hi everyone
Would you mind if we joined you on Sunday?
Bill and I will be coming out of Chichester Harbour entrance - & were thinking we could rendevous with the coastal route party (Jackeens etc) ? - we're not quite ready for big waves yet
Thinking it was probably best to try and meet up somewhere in the Chichester Bar area ........
