Loch Fyne anybody??
Myself and a couple of mates are planning to go a cruise up loch fyne and camp somewhere.
I can remember a small bay which had a wrecked fishing boat that i visited when i was a lot lot younger but i have no idea where on loch fyne or the name of this bay is. I have asked my father on several occasions and he remembers it well but no idea what it is called either.
If anybody is interested in coming on this mega wreck hunt as well they are very welcome.
The plan is to go down one friday after work and go up to kames and camp there for the night, leaving us quite close for saturday to go up loch fyne and find this bloody place which has been annoying me for ages!!

Not quite an answer to your question, but if you go right up to the head of Loch Fyne, beyond Inverrary, the nice people at the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar on the shore have laid visitors moorings.
The food at Loch Fyne Oyster Bar is absolutley fantastic and a great place to stop off.

There is a small bay, with an island in it and the wreck of an old clinker built fishing boat at the point where Loch Fyne turns the corner, just west of Otter Ferry. It is a popular stopping off point for a cup of tea and a strawberry tart (an essential item on any RIB) on Panther!
I don't have my charts to hand, but I'll check the name of the bay over the next couple of days and will let you know it.

Sounds better than Inverary, it has live turds floating around the pier.

Ahhh cool, thot it might have been.... Seen you going out on it the other weekend.
Dont think my boat or my mates boats will be in intime for the 20th... could be up for it over the next few months.
Were also planning a few camping trips to loch Striven for a drunken BBQ fun weekend, your more than welcome to come along if you fancy it?

Thot I spied a wakeboard on the back of your RIB that day...
We usually take skis and a couple of biscuits so is always a good laugh.
Not sure on any dates, usually just if the weather is good.... will give you plenty of notice of when were going to go....

I would be interested in a small rib weekend or day out somewhere on the west coast. have you thought of Jura/Gigha way or Arran?
Loch Fyne would be OK as well and if I am not already diving that weekend I would drag the boat down from Oban.

If it fits with my shifts I`d love to drag Purrdy over to the West coast for a weekend.
The Loch fyne oyster bar is the finest kind.

Please take pics and post them if you go on your Loch Fyne trip.
Have a lot of time there and in the Oyster Bar some years ago and it's very beautiful.
Never remember seeing a RIB there however, but did once see a Navy sub near Invarary.
