that's a shame Mick, still as long as you had a good day
I'm hoping to make it for the Ireland trip weekend, not to go but just to make sure the BSG actually get over the bar

After deciding not to go, we set off and got there just before 11, got OUT to dinghy fine. Saw yoyo fishing and then 3 in a rib with geckos on, then a nice ribcraft followed by an SR4 battling through.
Told the BS captain TT had already headed off.
They're fair weather boaters that lot!
Made it to Caernarfon and it wasn't actually that bad, especially before wind went over tide.
Came back through with the wind and found the dinghy in a wind over tide chop at high tide, it had swamped
Got half of it out and them rowed ashore half full, quite scary!
Then a blast through Betswy coed and across the Denbigh moors in the M3, nearly as scary as rowing ashore!
Good to see some decent ribnetters out!

At least the rain held off and a bonus of a nice bass on the BBQ for dinner.

You're a bloody star mate! We are sending a cheque on to them when we get back, I will forward the details to you by email soon, although realistically it may be after the trip's over.
Current update:
We have now made it to Troon ready for our trip to Fort William and the Caledonian Canal. We will spend the night on the Canal and arrive in Inverness on Tuesday to start the long journey South. The sun is shining and the wind is dropping so it's all good!

Enjoyed the day, going up and down the straights very windy on the return .
would have been great to see a full racing boat, but safe and sound for the
BananaShark team perhaps they would have more joy with round uk trip or try a trip around a coconut ring like us lol

It was going to be one of the highlights of the trip! Having said that we had a great day today from Troon to the canal and flying up Loch Lochie at top speed - photos to follow from the ground crew to follow!
