Probably looked at the forecast for the rest of the week and though sack it.

I think we can say with some certainty he won't be coming through the Straits tomorrow, not even with his pace.

Where are you leaving from, Menai Bridge? If so what time? Mind if I tag along up to Puffin, then back down to Caernarfon for lunch.

Couldn't agree more. Can't see Cookee being up our way on Saturday although I guess he may be up on Sunday (I can't do that).

So, who is meeting up where and when, and where shall we go?

HT for Saturday is:

Fort Belan: 12:59
Menai Bridge: 14:04
Beaumaris: 14:00

He's about to hit the M5 - what a shame.

This thread is interesting, in that they think he might be re-positioning the boat for tomorrows leg - would be great if that was the case.

Anyone welcome to tag along. Leaving Gazelle Hotel/Bangor pier by 10.30 (providing I can row out) then heading up to Puffin to see seals (weather permitting but it is a SW so should be OK) then running back through as far as possible to Llandwyn Island. Though past abermenai over the bar will be in to the wind. :0

Run out tomorrow

Sorry guys a bit of a week with work etc and the prospect of poor weather means that we have decided not to come along. It is starting to be a frustrating summer. I just hope the weather will calm down. It would be great to meet up with you all again and we look forward to that. Have a great day and hopefully Cooke will get back on the water - although it seams a tall order to get from Swansea up though the menai tomorrow given the weather (unless he uses the M5)

I'll be phoning the old man at 8 and getting a Birdseye weather report for Menai. If able to row out, I'll be on my way.

Very windy on the Straits currently although forecast to ease.

Cookee is in Swansea via M5 it appears.

We'll decide at 9 what to do.
