Ta Bruce, have been out over on the east coast a few times. Doing mod 1 in Oct then a week in scapa. Hopefully see you in millport if I can still afford some fuel.

With the winds forecast we didn't go after all. It didn't seem sensible to come back 18miles in the dark round Garroch head in a forecast F5-7........

Last time two times that I offered to skipper for that pair, they stood me up... musta been something I said on the IOM

In fairness, I wouldn't take Mrs willk out in a sub 6m RIB/at night/in a F7/on deserted waters...

No problem apart from the forecast F7, done the very same trip at night several times.
Not being able to see big waves coming means very slow running and 18miles is just too long to run a 6-8knots getting bounced about and not being able to predict the "hits" from the swells......

Hi

I can certainly confirm you missed out - the trip back in the dark was amazing!

OK so we were only going back as far as Largs, not quite as far as you had to go Bruce, but that was plenty to get the adrenaline pumping given the conditions.

Will catch up one of these times!
