Farewell 'Robert & Violet'
Despite the good news of Kiwi's firt rescue yesterday morning a sad day is looming.... On Friday 24th May 2013 at 1.30pm the 'Robert & Violet' will launch down the Moelfre lifeboat station slipway for the very last time on passage to her new home of Lough Swilly on the North coast of Ireland.

I just heard this news yesterday - our lads are getting ready to go to Holyhead to collect her. Don't worry, we have a nice berth ready for her and donegaldan and the rest of the crew will look after her. In many ways, it will be like Wales, but with worse singing...

Ha, we're all outta wussies, so are sending MEN to take her back by SEA. They will be returning the current Tyne to Oban, again by sea. I think they're planning a wee jink in the route to run outside Islay and take in the sights...
