Last year the Helicopter crew where driven further and further out from the crowds , by boats chasing them to get a better view. The Helicopter must have clear water to Port and Aft of the aircraft, in case he needs to ditch in an emergency. The Lifeboat station has asked me if i could help in finding some rib crews, who would guide and inform other craft, and keep them within a bouyed area, so the Helicopter could operate closer in and in saftey. This would mean that the marshaling boats would be closest to the action and would have some great photo opportunities . The lifeboat station would supply tabards for boats crews interested, and would be most grateful for any help.
Please let me know as soon as possible
Cheers Steve.
hello Steve, you can put use down to help on the day.
regards......Shaun......

id be up for marshalling, but ive promised to take my 5yr old to look round the lifeboat before it launches.
flat calm seas in holyhead bay today, spent half the day enjoying it whilst i acted as a dive boat so my mate could release a string of lobster pots for a local fisherman which were trapped in deep gulley on the sea bed. the reward was we were able to keep what was in them - free fresh lobster, ace!

How long to cruise from chris's place to Moelfre? 40 mins or so? What time do we need to be there? I'm guessing around 11 ? So 40 min cruise, about an hour of faff while we all get launched ready etc. so 2 hours to be on the safe side, I reckon 9 o clock then?

9am sounds good to me, bring some calm weather with you

Anyone out and about in Caernarfon Friday or Saturday night?
I'll be coming across Friday afternoon so will in out for tea both evenings.
Also, thinking of launching for a few hours Sunday morning.

Yes to both . One small problem, I've just sold my rib on eBay fingers crossed the chap will turn up with cash which will then allow me to pick up the new one in time.

Either way the hotel is booked so worse case we are on the beer for two nights at least

We are booked on the premier inn in canaerfon. . What's the best bet agree on a pub to meet in? Then wander round looking at folk suspiciously lol

we'll be from Thursday night, but no interweb access from our caravan site, luckily enough

we'll be launching from Ty Calch around 9.30/10'ish on the Saturday morning, allowing around 1 1/2 to get round to Moelfre, so should be there around 11/11.30.

can recommend Fu's next to Victoria Dock in Caernarfon, excellent Chinesse but probably need to book for a Saturday night

I know where there's a nice 7mtr Osprey going, strong rumour has it that's it's seen more fresh water from being washed than it's ever seen of the salty stuff

Not got it yet so I don't want to tempt fate. I need this sale to go through and then hopefully agree a deal on the new one. All I can say is it's bigger, won't fit on the current drive so will finish up parked under the living room window where there is currently garden. I of course don't see a problem with any of this, clearly better security
