Not sure about Mull, but at Oban there is a good camp site just south of Puffin Divers (500 yards). Puffin have petrol on the jetty, slipway, room to store trailers and friendly staff.

RIBase
Mull has plenty of pontoon space at Tobermory (extreme left hand end of harbour). ("Ballymory, Ballymory what's the story today.........."

Mull

Hi, Mull is Great. Tobermory is a great place to stay and explore, If you are anywhere near the sound of Luing Give "white rib" a call on 12 or 16 and She may come out for a play!!

Best campsite on Mull is at Craignure:

http://www.shielingholidays.co.uk/

They have a lovely field with a view of the Sound of Mull. Avoid the campsite just outside Tobermory - its a bit basic!
