journo
hi paul all the best, in negotiations with the journo (bottle or two) what i was thinking of a story was to push safety and group rib runs as well as different boats and fuel ranges to give ideas to new and up and comin ribsters. any ideas to bribe him to come along should give something for him to report neal

Very true Neal. I'm sure a bottle or two could be bought for him.
I'd agree re story. I'm sure we could get members to post their boat details, safety equipment carried, load/crew, fuel usage etc he could take that info and tally it up to pics he took and create an article on typical safety kit carried by average rib users, fuel consumption from varying boats/engines.
He could then use any number of examples of safety in numbers based on last time. ribs shadowing smaller ones, removing crew at inclement times, physical stops for those without radios, sharing fuel for those who have underestimated etc
Plus he could see a wide variety of old and new set ups. I think there is most makes attending already.ribeye, ribquest, ribcrafts, Humber, tornado, osprey, aircraft and more. Most are 6m plus and some are well kitted out as you know.
Wide variety of engines too!

I have spoken to the Paddy man and he can organise a pig roast at £10-12 per head so those of you who are interested Jerry Maguire (show me the money). This will be round at Coed Helen Caravan Park later on in the evening. I will give Mr Priddy a ring and see if I can get him to join us!!!!!!

Right! I've decided to commit us as definite for the "Do" All I need now is to sort out digs for the Friday & Saturday nights. I assume all the usual places, cottages, caravans are full. Anybody have space for 2 couples for the Fri & Sat nights? Also count us in for the piggy roast (x4)

Can I assume that all names listed are willing to pay £10/12 per head for buffet and pig roast which I think is very reasonable ?

Fair assumption most would pay £12 for (buffy) Sarah Michelle Gellar!
I'll have the roast after.
