In a moment of madness, I have written to Valley
he's just back from Falklands and gone skiing I believe.
RE: An invitation to join us by sea, land or air!
To whom it may concern and the Duke of Cambridge, HRH Prince William,
On the 28th of April 2012 I have organised a circumnavigation of the Island of Anglesey by sea. There are so far 34 R.I.B.s who have signed up to undertake the journey and a hog roast arranged for the evening. This builds on a very sociable and friendly cruise last year, where 18 boats travelled from Menai Bridge to Morfa Nefyn and back in safety with smaller boats being helped by larger.
Pleasingly, we had a journalist from RIB International magazine who wrote a 5 page feature of the day in the magazine. Due to the success of that day, we have secured the attendance of the journalist once more.
In addition, world record holder Alan Priddy has agreed to try and join us on the boats during the day and in the evening for informal conversations. He is the holder of 23 marine based world records and is attempting to secure the World record for the fastest circumnavigation of the globe by water this year. See “Company85 Global Challenge”, on the internet for more information. Alan’s boat has also been requested to attend the Diamond Jubilee flotilla on the Thames.
If HRH would like to attend the day in the RIB I believe he owns, we would obviously be honoured to accommodate him.
All the forum members are like minded people who respect and admire the services of those at Valley, enabling them to feel that little bit safer when on the water. We would welcome the attendance of any member of the forces or S.A.R. from Valley through a fly by or attendance in the day by boat or in the evening by land.
Should anyone wish to attend the “Hog Roast” in the evening, this is being held near Caernarfon Castle at Coed Helen caravan park, Coed Helen road, Caernarfon, Ll54 5PS. £12 per head.
