Oops!

Just called, they are fully booked until 14:30!

Will see if we can wing it on arrival or come up with a plan B.
Th ask for the heads up though.

Might be getting wet then. I've Rainexed my Gecko and sailing gear is ready to go. Just need to fill my hip flasks - have a nice new bottle of Old Pultney 12yr old single malt - what could possibly go wrong? Can't wait. We really need to test our suspension seats so hopefully we'll get a decent bit of 'Solent chop'

FYI we just spoke to The Wheatsheaf about being able to use the garden but they have limited kitchen capacity so that was a NO - but they suggested the Kings Head next door, and their website shows tables available. It's just reopened and is likely to be able to accomodate. Its been closed for as long as we can remember! Good to know pubs can reopen, especially in these times :-)

Just to add, I started this thread by saying that I wasn't trying to organise anything not expecting any real response, but I now wish that I had organised it. Hopefully we can all have a great day out tomorrow regardless. It will be great to meet new people and put faces to names.

Hi Steve,
Force 7-8 winds forecast....call me a wimp, bit I'm not doing a 200 mile round trip tow to face those conditions, even though I have a brand new Gecko to test. Maybe next weekend...tides are better too.

You won't need any help recovering, you are good

If you do brave it tomorrow, good luck, stay safe.

Bob, you're no wimp mate. If we had the same journey to do I'd bail too. Luckily we only have a 1 mile round trip with no towing (apart from launch/recovery) so we'll probably launch and stick our noses out of the Hamble and see how it is, but there's absolutely no way we're going out in F7-8, though it would be a good test of the new boat and the suspension seats

If you want to test out your new Gecko (xmas pressie?) set up a strong fan in your bathroom, set your shower to cold and stand in there for an hour

Hopefully next weekend will bring us better fortune weather wise. If so, see you then.
