I will update the thread nearer the time with finer details for the confirmed time meeting up and VHF channels etc will all depend on the weather, if its pants it could be Cowes for lunch

John who was coming with me has had to drop out but still has his room booked, he hasn't cancelled yet so if someone is looking for a room ill let you know once he's cancelled it.

Any alternatives to Camber? I see others are launching from Lymington but Boat Launch has a number of slips listed - which one is favoured and what about parking availability and costs (with trailer)?

For the Lymington slip you can park in the pay and display and buy enough tickets for car and trailer for the total time required. Parking attendant is quite used to it. Alternatively most people park on a nearby side street with no problems, area quite safe.

I'll ask at my boat yard and see what they would charge for the night.

I've arranged for 2 cars and trailers to be stored at my boat yard free of charge for the Saturday night.

It's on a first come basis. PM me if your interested and ill book you in.

With that many fast ribs crossing the Channel in a pack the French may think they are being invaded and could send out their Navy to intercept us. I think we should carry some gifts just in case. Any ideas?
