New member here and new to the hobby.

Have got myself a excel 330 sib and a tohatsu 9.8 outboard.

Any meet ups happening in Scotland after lock down is eased?

Sorry if this is already being talked about, still getting my head around the Web page.

Welcome aboard.

There usually are some gatherings, but I haven't noticed any being discussed since lockdown. Presumably we will be mid July before any (officialish) gatherings, especially if overnight

I have heard of three separate incidents where cars travelling with kayaks on the roof bars..so they stick out like sore thumbs..were stopped since Phase one began. The police asked where the came from and when it was obvious it was much more than 5 miles..told it was still not allowed and stay at home as its essential travel only ..leisure guidance is approx 5 miles.

All three drivers obeyed the police and turned home. I have no idea what would have happened if the argued. Its been around the Oban and Fort William area.

Im not suggesting it is legal / illegal or whether the police went above their duty..all Im doing is stating fact.

I put my F Rib inside the car ..then drive alone wearing a high vis jacket ..in the hope if the police see me..they think Im essential worker and wont flag me down.

So far I have evaded both detection and Covid ...long may it last
