Looks like I may as well borrow a petrol station to take with me for this cruise then

I knew I should have got a diesel rib

Would like to be there, but not sure if we'll have a boat by then! Windchill went down south last month.

I need to get it right this time!!

*shrug*, I've had 8 adults on board my rib before, but it slows my top end speed down to 35knots which can get annoying

As it stands, I may have one of my mates from Haverfordwest coming up with me, plus narked (if he's coming). PeterL showed interest too, so that'd be four already - if that's the case, I'd say 2 more, and at most 4 more - 5 of those spaces are tube seats I'm afraid

I need to book somewhere to stay I think now...

On that note, has anyone got any recomendations of anywhere to stay? - there don't seem to be any holiday inn express's or travelodges up near Pwllheli. I think it needs to be a b&b or something, cos camping at this time of year won't be so much fun

Thanks,

-Alex

I'll be there if I can get the time off, but that depends on how many people book in the hotel for new year.

Yes Ian I am aware of the fact that the railway station is near the marina, I have lived in the Aberystwyth area for nearly 2 months now, and I have been a regular visitor for the past 4 years
There's also the option of me getting the bus from here to Bangor, then bus it to Pwllheli, depends on which is easiest.

Main problem with the marina here is you need to look out for the daft bugger students surfing and kayaking by the harbour entrance no matter what the weather's like. On the plus side many of them are female and wetsuits aren't bad things on the right figure...

There's a couple of nice big RIBs down at the marina currently, might pop down there tomorrow with my new digital camera to get some piccies.

its a long trip from Fleetwood. How about going to up to Conway instead that way its only a couple of hours for me each way.

Not as far as Essex! How about coming down to the River Crouch - that way I won't have a 12 hour return drive

Whinging git!

And this from the sad git whose Ribnet profile reads, living 'in the wrong place', 'working on getting out' of England and who lists his occupation as 'looking for a change'!!

Moscow....

Hi chaps, just logged on whilst in Moscow. Love to see you're having a go at eachother. Any more squaballing like this and you'll both find yourselves cast adrift......Catch you soon,
Graeme.

Just back.....

I kept my camera handy just in case I spotted a RIB or two, however, none in site. I did however find a Russia Rib Magazine which, I bought home as I recall someone asking a while ago for names of any Mags for advertising purposes. If it was you ! Let me know and I'll pop it in the post, it's really quite good. I'll also scan a few pictures from it and post them on the forum as some of the home-made looking RIBs need to be seen to be believed !

Grouch - who me?

Grouch, no - Hump yes, especially when people don't read their bloody PM's! What's the point of having them.
Mind you, my kids must know where this River Grouch is as they have mentioned it before, in my presence
