Newcastle to Oban, crew needed??

Hi

I am going from Newcastle to Oban via the Caledonian Canal on Thursday the 26th May and planning on getting to Oban on the Saturday, not sure if anybody here is going to the Rib '05 Oban cruise but if you would like to get a free lift then I would welcome the crew, failing that bring your boat to Newcastle and do the trip with me??

Pregnant wife is making the journy in the car with parents and thats 5 hours in a car that I could not handle, hence the 3 day water trip!!!!!

It is a Biboa organised event running from the 28th May to the 4th June, based at the Dunstanage(???) marina, I am only there for 3 days but I understand others will be there for the entire week.

Hi Ollie

Sounds like a great trip
Out of interest, how far is it and how much fuel do you think you will need for a journey like that

Regards

Paul

Peterhead is about 175 miles from the mouth of the Tyne and the trip to Inverness is about 60 (I think) the Canal section is around 60 also. I burn about a litre a mile so am trying not to do the maths in case I am forced to get divorced or get a Saturday job!!

Planning a trip to Whitby soon for Fish and Chips over a weekend if you fancy joining us with your Rib??

Whitby sounds good I,d like to dive the submarine again it's been a long time.

As for the Fish and chips you can't beat Kristens at the Fishquay and it only costs 50p to get there
