Rather you than me if you're doing a "conger" rather than "conga"!
Though you'd have to catch one first, which will never happen!

I’ve Just received my Anglesey council launch fee bill for the coming season. It’s gone up to £150 from £120 plus the annual registration fee of £20. This covers all council launch sites on the isle, 6 in total I believe. Day launch has increased to £15 per day and you will also require to be registered with proof of insurance.
Unfortunately there was a separate note saying that the launch site at Beaumaris will be closed for most of the season due to improvements being carried out to the area around the pier and slip, please be aware of this for the easter cruise!! In addition the launch site that I use the most regularly, Treath Bychan is being updated /reworked and may not be available for early season.
Summary: The council has increased the launching cost massively and I will not have full access to the launch sites that I use the most.

If you were travelling to Beaumaris, could you not launch at Menai, which a great slip almost fully tidal, only 2 miles futher?

Dont worry mate, Menia bridge is ok now with the car park across the road which cost £6 last year or we can always launch at Tim's place over in caernarfon but the gate on the dock is open only a couple of hrs either side of the tide.

Not long now. Just ordered new dinghy, booked in boat for dewinterising and organised the relaying of the mooring.

Is there a particular pub we can all meet up at Paul for a get together at night, I know the Liverpool Arms and your "holiday home" was mentioned , perhaps we could try and find out which would be the most convenient for everyone. The Gazelle is defo the best for us, but it just depends on where everyone else is staying. Perhaps some ideas can be put up on this thread as there is not long to go now...what do ya think mate ??

JCCC glad to hear it!
LOL , unfortunately the "family" hol home is more accurately, the old's! Ie not mine!!
Liverpool arms or gazelle. I don't mind, perhaps the former for later on, 8 onwards if people are launching/recovering there. But Gazelle from 5-7 at end of cruise if pleasant, as with jetty and beach/runners by the pub there's more room to tie up and chat on the front admiring boats over a beer.
other people care to comment.
I'll be in the Gazelle Friday night after launching at lunch for the season and having a shake down. Anyone welcome to come and say hi, plan the sat and post thoughts on communication etc. I'm dumb to all that.
Tony T can take that baton!
