Others seem curiously interested in what can be seen through Ged's underwater camera.

Out towards the stacks from Holyhead the weather and sea were perfect. Windchill opened up.

Wow! What a day - and an excellent set of photos.
Just on question... "The Ribsters meet at Beaumaris" - looks a lot like Bangor pier??

Nope, that's definately Beaumaris pier, I remember it well, and for a good reason too! It was where Crazyhorse bought us all a cuppa and a KitKat (each, not between us..) on the first NW RIBsters cruise!

John,
Great photos. Thanks to all for a great day out. Good company, good weather, good fun. What else could you ask for ? It would be nice to see a few south coast boats up here next time chaps.
(Shame that bloke in the white tee shirt spoilt the picture of Hectic!!)
See you soon,
Dave

Anglesey cruise
My first rib cruise too and around what must be one of the most impressive pieces of coastlines in Britain - a fantastic experience made all the more so by a superb group of ribsters. Particular thanks to Ian for making it all happen and Clarky for inviting me to join him on Hectic in the absence of my own rib. Also to Windchill, whose role as tour guide was universally acclaimed and offered an excellent insight into local history and culture. Just to echo the above comments,John, your photos are spectacular, look forward to seeing the CD compilation.
And if anyone new to ribbing is hesitant about joining one of these cruises, then don't be. I've only owned a rib for 8 months but learnt more in one day on Anglesey chatting to everyone than I did on my RYA level 2! The combined knowledge of these guys is awesome and has certainly broadened the whole rib experience for me.

Here's another bit of helpful advice for you for if you ever end up on one of these cruises with me! Don't be on David Manning's boat if it's a bit rough, and I happen to be driving Ian's searider behind him, especially if the steering goes all funny!
Great pics John, makes me regret not going along. Looks like you all had a great time!

Where to next then?
Dublin has been muted or the Isle of Man (which should be interesting in a 4.0m Searider and a Force 5!). Richard, would a cruise from Anglesey/Conwy to the Wirral/Dee estuary be feasible, stopping off for an ice cream at Rhyl?
