Monday 12th - a grey and drizzly day - but the kids wanted some rough water so we (AOB and Dizzy) made out way back down from Burton to Dale - by which time every one on AOB was soaked from the short chop even in the cover of the estuary. Took Dizzy out towards the open sea, which was fun - but in the much bigger swell and oncoming rain, after getting out of the estuary everyone agreed that enough was enough and we headed back to Dale to dry out and let the crew in the front of the boat get feeling back in their fingers from holding on so tight!
Jim in Dromedary (6.5m ex-Camel Trophy boat with a 130HP Honda 4-stroke) was coming out of Dale as we headed back in (having taken too long eating his triple decker bacon buttie in the cafe) but after 10 mins he was back in the cafe having stuck his nose out to sea and agreed that it was a big too choppy to be comfortable even just playing about. This was fortunate for those who had come down on AOB as he agreed to give the passengers a run back up to Burton on Dromedary which was much appreciated. All we could offer in return was more hot coffee!
Found out today that water and cameras don't mix, so will be researching the threads on waterproof cameras!

Tuesday to Saturday all pretty much the same really - but the number of passengers gradually decreased as the week went on as the novelty factor decreased.
We took just Dizzy back out to Skokholm on Tuesday in a very heavy, short awkward choppy sea - but only had four on board that day. I thought it was hard work - and on getting back found that one of the Jetboats out doing the tourist trips had problems as well that day since they had experienced a hard landing and five people ended up in hospital - some of them by helicopter! At least all our crew got back in one piece.
In the week did quite a few runs up to Lawrenny for Morning coffee, afternoon cakes, and lunch (all different days of course) - sorry we didn't get back to you Greenkeg about Saturday - we were probably at Lawrenny the same time as you but didn't have internet so didn't get your number until we got back!

Hi Woot - if I had known it was you on Saturday I would have come over ant tried to blag a borrow of one of your ringos! Getting one has been on my "to-do" list since last summer, but I didn't think the weather in Pembroke was going to be good enough to get it for easter! Katie is desperate for us to get one!

If the boat you saw below Lawrenny looked like this it was indeed Woot. We spent a few hours there on Saturday and then dropped in the Jolly Sailor to watch the Cardiff game. More of the same on Sunday until we were too battered to carry on. We had two great days playing with ski's a kneeboard and a ringo. Only one downside, it is now Wednesday evening and I still ache.
