Pembrokeshire August / Sept
La Bamba will be berthed in Neyland Marina for a month from this Friday so if you are cruising in West Wales and you fancy a run out in company please get in touch......
Likely to try all the usual haunts from Saundersfoot to Fishguard and out as far as the Smalls .
May even try up the coast a bit further Fishguard to Cardigan , but might trailer to Fishguard for that ? So tides would have be right ......
Regards
Bern

Weather permitting we'll be hovercrafting in the Haven all next week... wave if you're passing then around the power station / Pennar with Razorbill for a few days the following week. Probably be bringing the Arctic (Tystie) round from Cardigan to Fishguard sometime after that.... Drop me a line if you have any Cardigan / Fishguard queries etc

Even a blind pig sometimes finds an acorn................
Day 2 of the cruise turned out to be something special ! We were returning from the Smalls when Paul ( Dhf ) spotted something off the port bow . My first mate Rob said " It looks like dolphins " . Seconds later the first batch of 15 to 20 common dolphins passed us going south . We made a gentle turn to watch them go when the sea seemed full of them . For several minutes they passed us , some going straight by but some coming back to take a closer look at us. I would estimate some some 60 to 100 in all . I have never seen anything like it and Dhf mentioned that only once in his boating experience has he ever seen anything like it either. Truly an experience of a lifetime . One can only wonder what it must be like to see a " superpod " of 1000 to 2000 of the beasts.
Only limited photos I'm afraid , but with a bit of luck Paul may yet post some more...............
Please see pics 2 and 3 ( or indeed browse Paul's Flickr collection ) at
https://www.flickr.com/photos/125562668@N06/
There were also many seals about , but their breeding season has begun so please be cautious with all approaches , and swarms ( are we allowed to say that ? ) of large jellyfish off Tenby / Caldey today .

WOW !! What an awesome experience, really can't thank you enough for the invite Bern, It was a total pleasure to cruise with such good company,
and so great to get the opportunity to photograph the dolphin's, I failed to capture any more than a few Dolphin in any one scene but, Delighted with the one's I did get though, it's one of those moments you need to be there to fully appreciate of course, a moment I shall never forget, I'm still sorting through many of the images I was fortunate to capture, but here's a few for starters.

Bern, Thousand Islands Expeditions which operates from St. David's has added to their fleet the all red Parker 1000 Baltic SeaSafari RIB which had been running charter trips in the Solent. If you come across her during your visit would appreciate some photos. Thanks.
Enjoy your stay there, the photos posted by Dhf are superb

Bern you are not the first and most probably not the last one who got converted that way
1000 Islands show some photos on their web page / FB page but sadly they have chopped off the T-Top
