Wondering if I can get myself sorted with the trailer to get to this.
Any more details?
Cheers

Lawrenny's a tiny village on a tributary of the Milford Haven Waterway. It's around an hour's drive after the end of the M4. A beautiful place and all the boating you could ask for. Just take a look at Alex Brown's videos.

Has anyone booked any camp sites yet ?
Also what do you do with the boats. Do they stay somewhere in the water or are they taken out each night.
Regards Nick R.

Either - there are swing moorings on the river (you could probably borrow a tender for 5 mins) or you can haul out and leave the RIB in the boatyard. Slipway has access at most states of tide and is a good 'un.

We will be bringing a tender as coming by water if the weathers ok, the beauty of boating around milford haven is still plenty to do on the river if the wind is strong.

If you have a minor crash in it, you WILL get really hurt
Who's supplying the new axle - SBS or Avonride? If it's Avonride, you'd better sit tight for a while.

If your axle doesn't arrive in time, I've got a RIB here you can borrow for the weekend.

Another question or two.
I've just google earthed the area. Is there any sort of a speed limit on the river ?
Also are there any pubs or restaurants within walking distance of the camp site.
Cheers Nick R.

Don't you think you could handle the old Northcraft then?

No speed limit as such, but there is no planing upriver of Lawrenny on the main Milford Haven/Daugleddau and its tributaries. Down-river of Lawrenny, anything goes

As I mentioned in an earlier post on this thread, the 'camp site' is a static caravan park. I don't think there is any (tent) camping, unless arrangements are made beforehand with the site owners. There is a pub within the yacht station/caravan site complex, right on the waterfront with its own pontoon. They serve decent meals and there is a beer garden/patio overlooking the river - not a bad place to unwind after a hard day's boating . This is the only pub in/around Lawrenny. If camping is not an option, then there is a youth hostel about 5-10 mins walk away, in Lawrenny village.

I should be up for this one.
Assuming the weather's ok, I'll be parking Sea Drive in Neyland Marina from Friday evening until Sunday evening, or even Monday if it's *really* nice
Got any cruising plans for the weekend? - we're on springs, so it won't be possible to go right up river during the middle of the day. However, the tides are high enough for a trip to Haverfordwest for example around 1800hrs on Sat evening.
