Looking at boatlaunch, the caravan site at Lawrenny appears to be part of the Lawrenny Yacht Station.
Website has more info here on the caravan site and the facilities available at the Yacht Station:-

Neil,
As has been pointed out though doesn't look like it takes tents.
Anyone recomend a decent campsite nearby ? Or can we go native and camp on a beach ?

It's only a 6.38m tide on the sat evening which gonna be a bit tight for creswell I thought.... I prefer to go up there if there's more than 6.5 ideally since the last bit of the channel is a bit on the tight side
Yeah, things are good down here thanks - not really been out much this year which is appauling. When we have been out, it's either been 5metres of wave height, or nothing.... I haven't seen many "inbetween" days yet to use!!
Let's just hope that it's cracking weather with a baby swell to get the boats gently clear of the water for some good video footage

Without wishing to sound too pedantic this has actually changed this season, upriver of Lawrenny is now "Dead slow, minimum wake" as was pointed out to me by the finger wagging ranger recently, I wasn't planing when I was pulled, but in his opinion I was going too fast.

I noticed this new regulation when I went for a spin on the river last week. There must have been some loonies in displacement hulls flying up and down the National Park scaring all the flowers on the riverbank
In any case, there's plenty of river downstream of Lawrenny to give it some welly

Well done on the free bit. Please remember that you need to put a wheel on both ends of the axle.
