Penrhyn Bay 24.5.2014 team scooby

I have booked at Welcome to Penrhyn Bay Caravan Park

from 24.5 to 31.5, will be taking my rib, weather permitting hope to go out most days!

good choice we're based nr Caernnarfon on The Menai, if weather is good well try to catch up with you at some point, Sth Stack is well worth a visit on a good day, loads of sea caves etc to explore

hi xs 400,we based at treadurr bay their every weeekend through the summer season.if i can get my engine reliable hopefully see you out their.si.

Engine was cap last year ,just one thing after another .last one was 2 coils and a set of plugs.now it just stops after about 5 minutes .boat is going to engineer 1st week in march he is going to take it to a lake and test then hopefully fix it.if i can't find the cash for a 125hp optimax before then!

we had a 90hp Ermintrude Fitch a few years back, ran great most of the time but had a problem with a anti syphon valve on the fuel filter, ended up getting a new fuel filter assembly to sort it, ran great in a tank but just died under load, not the best thing to happen on The Mersey

Think my problem is fuel related now but boating on a shoestring running a old rig sometimes just seam to go from one problem to another .not ready to give up yet ,the fight goes on.

we could keep the ermintrude running by pumping the primer bulb, but not when under load, fuel problems can take an age to sort

That's part of the problem rib is stored at my caravan in anglesea which don't open till 1st march .i have no storage at home so sitting here 100 miles away eating turkey getting itchy

I know a good guy at caernarfon, he's services our Honda / Revenger and is a top bloke, he's hot access to The Straits to give it a proper test, let me know if you want his details

no probs, just let me know, sooner the better as he get busy once the season starts

no idea about your engine but some do have a filter on the fuel pump, maybe worth having a look at that, that's were the non return valve was fitted on our ermintrude, it was only partially opening up and so causing fuel starvation

join the club, I know how to check the oil level on the Honda 150 n that's about it, n hopefully it will stay that way for some time to come too
