Yes I think that's the plan, however Trevor did make a good point the other day on the phone, why drive to Poole when we can boat there.
I'll give him a ring tomorrow to confirm the launch plans unless he posts on here first.

Hmm - a couple of days ago XC Weather was predicting 2mph winds for Saturday - now it's 12 - 20mph. Could be a long slog from Southampton to Studland in the Searider (and back before it's dark).
Let's see what the forecast says tomorrow night........

My embryonic plan was to launch at Lymington and meet up with the rest of you in Poole or thereabouts. The only slight problem for me is that I cannot afford to be late back as I have a Dad's taxi booking for early evening

Looks like the family may be out and about on the Saturday, so will try to meet up with you. Which one is Joe's cafe?

It's the cafe at South Beach, Studland by the path up to the Bankes Arms.
Position: 50º 38’34.71”N 1º56’41.27”W (but don't use it as a waypoint 'cos it's on the land! )

Joes cafe is definately open at weekends, I was in Studland Bay moored up at the Bankes Arms Buoys last weekend and there were a few people using the cafe. No other boats in Studland apart from Powerboat Training, it may have been the hailstones raining down that put peole off ... ouch they hurt a lot when underway.
The National Trust Cafe is also open thats the one between Joes Cafe and the start of the nudist beach section on studland beach. Knowle Beach
If you using the Banks Arms mooring buoys, joes is directly ahead on the beach, if you look to your right you will see the other one which is in the national trust building about half a mile a way.

Unless things change tomorrow - we are intending to launch at Southampton (Crosshouse Road slip) at about 10.30 Saturday morning (on the water by then) with Whisper, and should be passing Lymington at about 11.30.
Hopefully we will rendezvous with Ian M and continue to Poole for about 12.15 (near the chain ferry).
Meet PeterM, Avocet, Oscarguitar, Nathan k and 250kts (maybe).
Then on to Joe's Cafe on Studland Beach for "fresh sandwiches in lovely organic bread, homemade organic vegetable soup or hot homemade pasties. Followed by homemade honey flapjack and chocolate brownies" and mugs of hot chocolate.
We need to be back in Southampton before it gets dark so won't be leaving Joe's Cafe too late for the return trip.
If it's as warm as today we'll be sunbathing on the beach as well!
Let's set VHF CH 8 as the cruise channel - but I think both Whisper and I are on hand-helds so don't expect us to hear much! Texting may be more reliable!

Or walk up path to Banks arms for Beer and something overpriced with chips!
I may not be able to make it now due to influx of family and friends this weekend! I will post to let you know so that you are not hanging around, but I still hope to slip away to 'check on the boat'. Wish me luck!

For those that know me, it will come as no surprise that I'm with Oscarguitar on that one!
I plan to be in the water just before midday tomorrow and will head across Bournemouth Bay to meet those heading west.

I wil be launcing from Baiter at about 11.30 to zoom around a bit and meet at 12.15 at the entrance.
Of course there is always the 10knt limit in this bit ......but not in the main channels inside the harbour....
I assume I will be the smallest boat so not being sure of how one gets to the beach I am happy to ferry ( but it is always the last 3 feet that means wet feet unless suitably footwear is being worn) .
I only have a HH too, but am sure to find everyone ! Phone will be inside several layers so no chance of hearing it .
I reckon its going to be a gentle Northerly so should be nice and calm for all !
Pete
