A few pics, I don't know a lot about them but she's absolutely mint, the engine too.

I've been looking to see what equipment she would carry, but can't find a list. Also been trying to find out what compass fits on the tubes?

Looks great

Very jealous of the engine! Mine has had the transom cut down by about an inch, bit of a pain as I get a lot of spray from my outboard.

The compass you are after is the Silva 70UN. I ended up buying mine from a cycling shop as it was the cheapest online.

If you can see the original service number, mine was visible underneath the hull. Ask on lifeboat24-7.co.uk and they will give you the history.

Does your floor mat have the cut out for a fuel tank?

Cool thanks

No cut out as I have two fuel bladders

Noticed your floor didn't have a cut out, mine has a space on the starboard side for a fuel tank. I have just got hold of an extra fuel bladder so now have almost 60litres fuel capacity! Not bad for a little SIB, and so much better than the plastic tanks.

That was the one, although one appeared on here for sale just after I bought it. Might be worth checking if its still avaliable.

I'd give it a go. Only ever used mine in Devon/Cornwall, did do a fairly long trip out of Falmouth in September, along with a D-class, and must say I hurt the next day. Probably shouldn't have really been out in a 3.5m boat with a 9.9hp engine, but did manage to get the prop out the water a few times

I get as much enjoyment, maybe more, from this little boat as my old searider and mariner 40.

If you want some company for the test run and fancy Poole, Grimalkin's going into the water tomorrow for the Christmas period whilst the dry stack is closed. Let me know.

I've just launched my Ribtec today as well, will be in a berth until April, so hoping to be out and about over Christmas and New Year in Poole.

Did have a quick spin to Old Harry and back rather than put her straight in the berth - was pretty windy but sea state wasn't too bad. Unsurprisingly didn't see any other boats out!

We should liaise: the Nacho Run (see other thread!) is the next cruise but if you're around between Christmas and New Year, I'm up for a trip somewhere (IoW or Weymouth).

And very nice it is too. Good for when everything else electrical fails.

Sadly I've booked a ski trip starting on the Nacho Run weekend, so won't be able to make that. Annoying, as I missed the Folly trip as well due to Sea Cadet commitments!

I'm not taking any leave over Christmas/New Year, so will only be in Poole for the weekends/bank holidays - give a shout if you're going to be afloat on any of those.

Seems quite reasonable today, so might just pop to Swanage this afternoon to see the landslide (BBC News - Swanage coastline warning after further landslip).

It's looking like testing the Y Class & drysuit out between Xmas and new year at Bramble Bank with some cod fishing.

Nacho run with Mrs W in the Ribcraft on the 6th jan.

And the Sib Club tour of Poole Harbour later in Jan when AJ gets back from his jollies....

How does the 26th or 27th Jan sound?

I will have to check with Mr PeterM that he is available to be the leader of Poole Sib Club
