Should be a go for me ....cant wait to see the Y in action
I'll go buy some 2013 tide tables and book the weather at the same time.
Is it fair to say 4m RIBs can come too ? ( maybe even my SR with trusty crew Simon driving ) .
I of course have the Bombard ..

On christmas eve, in the pooring rain, cold & towards the end in the dark ive changed the bearings today! Also spoke to an engineer today & he said he can fit me at the beginning of january. The boat will be ready!
Drove her back to the garage...to find id managed to lose one of the caps over the bearings on the way Drove the route twice and no sign of it...

I would have asked for special permission to join in with a RIB instead, as the only SIB I can claim to have is an Avon Redstart with a 2hp motor - a tad on the slow side...
But sadly the date clashes with VHF courses I'm running for Sea Cadets, so will have to try and meet people another time!

We had a lovely trip up the River Frome to Wareham today - with the wind blowing 20-30kn, decided it would be more comfortable staying in the harbour!
Might be a reasonable place for a SIB trip - the river is fairly sheltered, during the winter you can make a faster passage to the start of the river, and it only takes 15-20 mins at slow speed to navigate up to the town quay at Wareham. Easy place to moor up, and walk into town for some food. Loads of pubs, cafes, bakeries, fish and chips, etc.

AJ got in quick and said he is available on the 19th, 26th or 27th Jan.
I think the best thing is to keep the 26th and 27th free if you can and we will pick the best day?
If thats not ok just let me know what works for you and we will have to see the weather closer to the time.
Pete, I guess we are ok to have a good cruise about, beach on something and have a pub lunch unless the weather is really poor?

26th is cool with me. I am currently sat looking over the coral sea in Queensland rain forest wishing I had a boat. However you cannot go into the sea because of box jelly fish . Although nice here at least we can do stuff in our sea
