Port Meirion - North West Ribsters - 16th October
HI
Anyone fancy the 16th october ?
Meet at my office in Pwllheli and launch at the best slip in North Wales cruise east up the channel towards Porthmadog and then across to Port Meirion Village - http://www.portmeirion-village.com a quick picture stop (we have a very small tidal window).
Porthmadog for Breakfast and the a cruise around cardigan bay stopping off at St Patricks Causway (Sarn Badrig) for a little walk on the low tide?
All welcome, no matter what boat or experience
If anyones intersted in St Paddy Causway-
Sarn Badrig is the most northerly and abrupt of three "reefs" that stretch out into Cardigan Bay. It is probably called Sarn Badrig or St. Patrick's Causeway because it heads out from the coast towards Ireland, running almost parallel to the Llyn Peninsula. The reef is about 11 miles long and runs south west from Mochras/Shell Island. At low tide some of the reef comes out 1.5m above the water.

Sounds good..
I'd like to come, most likely with boat.
I'll also make it a personal crusade to talk Ian into coming. (in which case I may ride with him)
Thanks mate.

Sounds great.
If it's a very early start I may not make it with the boat,
but if B J's going, maybe I can pitch in with some fuel and hitch a lift
with Ian??
.... at least I wont have to leave the trailer unattended in a dodgy place

Port Merion
This sounded like a good trip but it's a shame you couldn't organise it as a Saturday event.

I'm up for both days however a bunch of 10 female teachers (Jane and 9 others) have taken over our place in Wales for that weekend no doubt discussing how to spend their 17 weeks holiday per year and what a cushy life they have only working 9.00 till 3.00 So I need :-
1. Somewhere to stay Friday night and somewhere to stay and park the rib Saturday night
2. I'm up for Ireland but not in my rib I don't fancy bouncing about in mine for several hours prefer to travel in a beast that cuts through the waves. Any offers
3. Sunday I'll be taking my rib so anyone who want's to crew will be very welcome
Nice one Jono

Yeah, brill idea Jono, count me in mate. Bloody fantastic, can't wait. All business trips postponed for that one, no probs. Make it a 3am launch if you like coz I won't sleep the night before anyway.............oh shit, forgot I had a flower arranging class booked that morning, no way I can get out of that, girlfriend would kill me. Shame it wasn't the week before or the one after, but hey, isn't that always the case with a Ribnet cruise?
