Just spoke to Nos, due to lack of interest, people being around, and cowes week making Calshot launching and general solent activity a pain, we figured to more it again to end of August when tides are much better for overnighting

So, August 27/28 it is.

I might still be out one day this weekend anyway if anyone's about

We are planning on coming for the day on Sat launching with Doggypaddle if he makes it.

I need to take some video of the 4.7 as I’m going to sell it, so if anyone can help with that it would be appreciated.

cool

ok, so what do people make of the weekend forecast, it's been so changeable I don't know what to make of it.

XCweather looks OK, with winds 10-15 during day but up to 20 overnight, no rain
BBC shows light rain sat afternoon, cloud sunday and similar winds

Just spoken to NOS4R2 he isnt going,
Weather doesn't look good, BBC site looks more optomistic than most, however I dont fancy driving all the way down to sit in the rain all day.
then another 150 mile drive home in a leaky wet landrover

I think this weekend is dooomed this year, unless we get an Indian summer...

I prefer to save my petrol tokens for sunny days too where possible...

well touch wood, every searider gathering has had really good weather!

There does seem to be a pattern emerging the last 5 or so years for nice octobers and grotty augusts, is it my imagination or has anyone else noticed?

RIBase
Damn shame aboutthe weather-just too much for overnighting.

I'm thinking the same sort of thing as the year before last with the campsite for the Searider gathering?

The weather the night before was dire now you mention it! the day was bloody fantastic though IIRC. I remember putting sun cream on at the end of october
