Tide tables here:-

Not sure what dates to suggest though-we were going to go on holiday early this year but haven't figured out dates yet.

Yep, we are in for this one again. If we camp as last year and I see a big cat tying up again, remind me to move my rib as far away as possible and put my ear plugs in to get some kip. What a palava last year !!

I 'may' try and come over in Streaker from Portsmouth way if I can face the tow & find somewhere to leave the car& trailer at the camber.
And if the weather is OK of course !
Pete
PS I can get a tenk & BBQ in the boat - its not that small ! ( Oh and Avocet still looking after a spatula )

You're quite right!
..... and until a month ago I knew where it was!
Mrs A had a tidy-up before Christmas and I'm not sure where it now is now!
Your PM (just received) will be answered tomorrow.....

I guess July, or maybe August
camping is permitted on the Priory bay beach I think, but we'll show you a better location

Anyone any ideas about what weekend to aim for yet?
Very Roughly it looks like the 1st and 3rd weekend give us High Water @ lunchtime, and the 2nd and 4th weekends give us low water @ Lunchtime.
Bearing in mind the shallows at Briory bay it depends if you'd rather loose beach space through the day, or risk being stranded in the lagoon behind the sand bar until the tide comes back in.
I'd rather go as early in the month as possible, but don't want anyone to have to work around me as plans could change.
Nasher.

Which month?
I think low water at lunchtime is probably the best bet-it means that those of us that are going to make a move to the normal camping spot aren't high and dry.

My preference would be July 9-10, in line with Nashers earlier in the month comment as well, but that is British Grand Prix weekend...
Equally happy for it to be August, but holidays will start being more of a problem I guess...
For the camping thing to work, other options would be :-
(times as per the link Nos left earlier - guessing that website shows times as GMT, so added an hour to get BST times below - someone let me know if that's the wrong assumption please)
Weekends at end of June do not seem to work from a tide perspective
July 9-10 Sat LW 13:28 0.3m HW 20:06 2.9m Sun HW 08:36 2.8m LW 14:38 0.4m
July 23-24 Sat LW 12:27 0.6m HW 18:58 2.6m Sun HW 07:19 2.5m LW 12:23 0.7m This weekend conflicts with the Alderney run, which I want to try and go on this year, so would be out for me.
August 6-7 Sat LW 12:01 0.2m HW 18:37 3.0m Sun HW 07:04 2.9m LW 13:04 0.4m
August 20-21 Sat LW 10:58 0.4m HW 17:26 2.8m Sun HW 05:43 2.7 LW 11:41 0.6m
