Priory Bay Picnic 2010 (& Camping weeekend?)

Another one we have not had in some time it would be good to get going again (not exactly had the best weather past 2 years mind...

Anyone else interested?

Links to prior ones are
2007 http://rib.net/forum/showthread.php?...Priory+bay+BBQ
2006 http://rib.net/forum/showthread.php?...Priory+bay+BBQ
2005? http://rib.net/forum/showthread.php?...Priory+bay+BBQ

Need to work out good weekends... anyone got some tide tables out to July/August? Would be good to get high tide at 8-10 saturday evening to get into and out of Bembridge for those staying over...

Identifying a couple of weekends would probably be good... we can narrow down nearer the time.

Neil

A long way off, but need something to get through the crap winter, so as long as it does not clash with other activities, I will sign up for this.

You could give bedajim a hand to lug his half a ton of coolbox/trolley/trailer up the beach.

Count me in with the usual tide/ weather caveats. Its miserable out there - big breaking waves , strong winds - expecting to see Matt out soon.........

Believe it or not, I've never attended the priory bay BBQ, work and other things always got in the way. So subject to the same not happening next year I'll be coming along.

Perhaps we could avoid July and the beginning of August as recent years have shown these months to get pretty windy and very wet at times.

Definately up for this one, i'm already imagining the hot sunny beach and one of Nos's BBQs that involve half a bottle of BBQ lighting fluid then immediately whack on all the meat

he's more likely to need fire extinguishers if the last time is anything to go by!

hi pete,
2007, me biggles and nos went into bembridge on the evening high tide, beached the ribs at 10 or so and put the tents up. one or two others just camped on the beach at priory bay, but it is nice and sheltered etc going into the bay, and no need for a dinghy, we anchored in shallow water, and woke early to the ribs floating again.

Just a matter of getting a good tide weekend with the sun!
