Tide

I've just found a tide picture for the Saturday and Sunday.

Hope this comes out okay as it should hopefully give some idea of what the tide will be doing on Saturday.

Oh and its for Bembridge approaches so should be just about right for PRIORY Bay. If anyone says otherwise then I'll try and get the tide pics for a more suitable location if someone can point me in the right direction.

That's GMT isn't it? Laser's times are an hour later so I guess they're BST.

Nick,
If i read those charts right, does that mean we could beach at about 8pm Sat and have the boats dried out til about 6am Sunday?

that would work out quite well for those camping over!

Neil,

If you want the same state of tide it looks like if you beach at 2000 hrs you'll be floating off about 0400 hrs. Possibly you could beach earlier then you'd get to float off later.

I've sent a PM.

Nick.

Withr regards timings I use the 1 hour offset as stated below. Therefore I believe my timings are correct for Bembridge. Well as far as can be given that Priory bay doesn't have its own tide timings. Therefore both of our figures are estimated in one way or other. And should only be taken as a guide.

If their is a more accurate source than Easytide i'd like to keep the link.

Daylight Saving Warning: EasyTide predictions are based on the standard time of the country concerned. For the UK this is GMT and the daylight saving offset should be set to 1 hour to allow for British Summer time (from 01:00 am on Sunday 25th March 2007 until 02:00am on 28th October 2007).

Sarah,

I think so. But after it took me ten years to learn the difference between, Zulu time,(GMT;UT:UTC:WET) and Alpha time which is CET or GMT + 1 and Bravo Time which is EET or GMT +2. All too much for me at times.

So why can't all the civilian UK sites stick to real time and make it easy.

Nick.

Because we wouldn't need them any more and they would be unemployed

Where would the fun in that be?
