Ok to get this thread back - I am back in the land of the living .... (the better half became ill right after the trip and ended up in hospital for five days. Slowly getting back to normal - whatever that is - and getting round to posting some thoughts and pics of the Ardbeg run).
First of all many thanks to all the team at HQ for the organisation, especially Tom. Also thanks to Suzuki for the great generosity of the BBQ in the Boat Club. Great food and great company.
As Willk has said no pics of the run over or back as it was way too bumpy. Far too busy holding on
For all you gurners out there I have to say that Willk is a saint! Putting up with me and my gammy foot not being able to be as nimble as I usually am allows me to pay respect.
Having said that we are all getting older and just two days boating really took it out of him and the yawns were certainly visible at the BBQ in the boatclub
After the trip my face is just getting back into shape. The fixed evil smile Willk and I had as we went through the F5/6 to Ardsbeg and return now just starting to fade.
Redbay boats proved themselves once again - if you need to go to sea go in a Redbay!
Our need was a drop of Ardbeg's whisky!
