Rib Crusie N Ireland and Scotland??

Having only been out a few times in the Rib since purchasing last year and subsequently completing a refurbishment this winter (pictures to follow soon); I would be keen to cruise with others and while I’m not sure what the interest would be or indeed the cruise itinerary. Can I use this post to gauge the interest and other cruise suggestions welcomed-perhaps sometime in the spring!

Cheers DJ

Hi DJ
Good idea the more cruises the better! As you will see from a post further down the page Tony Hill has started one around Easdale and the Islands for the first w/end in may. It is only a suggestion but could the two ideas nor merge in that you could touch base on your way too or back from somewhere?
Only ans idea maybe one of my well know ones from 'left-field'

Thanks Jambo and I didn’t even see Tony post and yes it would be good to tie in if at all possible and let’s see if there is any interest from the Irish contingent

Cheers DJ

Easdale details

see www.easdaleRIBrendezvous.org.uk

website functional but we are just sorting the registration section
Currently around 20 RIBs have expressed interest in the event. Hopefully the sun will shine and seas will be calm. All welcome, individuals, families, friends.

[QUOTE=willk;383942] All the better for it!

Willk the clicky link was an excellent post with fantastic scenery and it brought back memories of the Rathlin swells! A little bit of reminiscing and the last time I was round Rathlin in a rib was about 15 years ago in a new 5.5 Tornado V4 115 Yamaha; now I’m back to ribing with a boat of the same age!! Perhaps I should lower my ambitions to more local cruising until I have proved the old girl and the set up.

RIB Cruise from NI

I would definitely be interested in a cruise in company to the West Coast - if I can get the time off work! Let me know if anything materialises and I'll try and get the time off. Have always fancied a look around the Corryvreckan area....

Kind regards,

Mike

Keep me posted too.

I'd certainly consider it depending on ........

It's always worth doing things in company rather than by oneself!!!!

I be up and down the Bann often and normally launch at Newferry, I would be happy to meet up with anyone. If you have seen my other posts I am doing a little refurbishment at the moment and even though the garage is heated I need a little bit of better weather to finish my flowcoat and then im ready.

I am also happy to co-ordinate (mind you I would need to read my own posts little more often)

Thanks
DJ

I'll keep on eye on this thread as recently conveniently lost some savings on buying a rib. Time to put it to work so very interested in some cruises. Anyone partake in the ribraids?

Nick.

Hi

Hi guys I am always interested in meetig up with people for a trip out. I generally launch in Bangor/Carrickfergus. I have also been on a few of the Ribraids and find them good trips for travelling in company.
