Ribbing In Italy

Wondered if anyone has any experience of boating in Italy and in particular the northern lakes. My question is more to do with documentation. I think I know what I need to trail across Europe but not sure whether one would need an ICC or CEVNI for using on inland lakes over there. Have had a good look through previous posts and not found the answer so far.... Could ask the RYA but thought I'd check here first.

Ribbing in Italy is superb, and they do it in great style! You can read about some fun we had a few years ago here.

I would suggest that you contact either Conny Goldberg or Peter Zurrer. Conny is German and Peter is Swiss, but they both have a load of experience of the area and also speak excellent English -- which in my experience the Italians don't! You'll find their contact details on the Allgemeiner Schlauchbootclub (German RIB club) web site www.schlauchboot.net

Thanks John. Looks like you had a great but unusual trip. Will follow up with these contacts
