The bid could go in your favour if the French don't like Welsh food and Finns have the final say

Made some provisional enquiries, No Problem for Pwllheli the 1st weekend in July, the Harbour Master is ok with up to 100 ish RIBS, the main issue is launching but with a bit of sweet talking the local yards we should have access to three all state of tide slipway and one three hours either side.

So we appear to have a venue and a date! Who's up for it then?
Jono, would you care to elucidate on the delights of the local area for those who may not have ventured that way before?

I think just about the seediest dive of a hotel that I have ever tried to stay in was in Pwhelli. It was so bad that we took one look at the rooms and walked out! Can't recall the name but I do recall the cab driver giving us a very funny look when we told him where we were going. I blame Brian, he got it from the interweb, he'd obviously been looking at the wrong sites.....
Beautiful scenery though and a nice change from the Solent. Credit to Jono for organising it. IIRC the very first rib.net gathering which was the Thames Cruz was also organised by Jono. And that was a blast!

Would have loved come to Pwllheli but change of plans by cruising east coast of UK from Solent via Lowestoft and Redcar to Scrabster mid June to early July.
Jono Garton I wish you all the best, perhaps another time.
